Edinburgh Napier University

Napier Technical College opened its doors to students at Merchiston under the leadership of Dr Joseph Dunning in 1964. Two years later the college was renamed Napier College of Science and Technology. Edinburgh Napier offered its first-degree course, BSc Science with Industrial Studies in 1971.
